Software that can be used for conversion of pvz file type to step format.
A .pvz file from PTC ProductView appears to be basically a ZIP file and if you extract it, you can find a .pvs file inside together with several other .ol files. It should be possible to export this PVS file to STEP format (.stp, .step) using any CAD / 3D modeling tool that supports both of these file types.
Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.

Files with pvz extension may be found as special 3D packages from ProductView (now known as Creo View Lite, Creo View ECAD).
STEP
Files with step extension are quite often found as 3D model / part files saved in STEP (Standard for the Exchange of Product Data) format.
