What is the best converter used for converting text format to crypt5 file format.
There is actually no way how you could create a WhatsApp CRYPT5 archive from TXT file, even if you exported it from the program. It is because the TXT exported from Whatsapp contains only SINGLE conversation, not whole backup and also it does not contain any formatting.
If you are attempting to transfer chat history from one phone to another, you would need to do following depending which OS your new phone uses.
On Android you need to locate your CRYPT5 backup and convert it to CRYPT using CRYPT5 to CRYPT converters. Then transfer the CRYPT file to your new phone and use the WhatsApp TrueCrypt to encrypt it back to CRYPT5 bound to your new device.
For iOS users that want to transfer their Whatsapp backup to Android device, you would need to create a full backup of your iPhone using iTunes. Then use programs like iTunes Backup Extractor to locate the Whatsapp backup which has a form of a sqlite database. After that using the WhatsApp Tools encrypt the database to CRYPT format. The last step would be to transfer the CRYPT to your Android device and use the WhatsApp TrueCrypt app to again encrypt it to CRYPT5 and bound to the new Android device.
However, if you are using the latest version of WhatsApp you will require to use CRYPT7 (or perhaps even newer when it comes), instead the now old CRYPT5.
Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.
