VCF and VCARD file types are the very same format, just have different extensions. There is no need to actually convert them, you can just rename the extension from vcf to vcard should you need it. Programs that accept contacts in vCard format should be able to work with these files regardless of their extension.

VCF
Files with vcf file extension are almost always contacts saved in vCard format. Typically used various Personal Information Managers or e-mail clients (for example Outlook), as well as exported from mobile phones, for the purposes of sharing or migrating contacts from one device to another.
VCARD
Files with vcard file extension are contacts files saved in vCard format. Alternative to much more common vcf file extension.
