Possible software with support for converting of w3g files to mp4 file format.
For years, w3g to mp4 conversion was searched for by Warcraft III players as a way to export recorded matches (.w3g replays) to MP4 format, either for upload on YouTube or similar sites or just for personal use and playback.
As is the case for any other game replay export to video, the usual workaround consists of using a screen recording tool (OBS, Fraps etc.) to record the game as it is replayed with the game client.
Even with the 2020 release of Warcraft III: Reforged, there is still no change in this, and Blizzard did not include functions to record or replay video recordings directly to MP4, or any other multimedia format for that matter.
