WLMP projects from Microsoft Windows Live Movie Maker can be exported to several video formats, but unfortunately not AVI. The program supports only WMV or MP4 for video export, so if you want AVI you need to either perform wmv to avi or mp4 to avi conversion conversion afterwards.
