Convert Microsoft Works document to Rich Text Format document.

We have found 5 software records in our database eligible for .wps to .rtf file format conversion.

First of all, latest versions of Microsoft Word should still support WPS format from Microsoft Works and can simply open these documents and re-save to RTF format.

If you only have access to some previous version of Microsoft Office, you will need to download and install special Microsoft Works 6-9 File Converter that acts as plugin and allows users to open and work with Microsoft Works documents (.wps).

Open source word processors like LibreOffice Writer or OpenOffice.org Write also still support Microsoft Works formats and thus can re-save or convert them to other formats like DOC or RTF.

Some 3rd party document converters like the ABC Amber Text Converter also support WPS format so may be worth a shot.

Last option would be to get your hands on some old version of Works. It was commonly bundled together with laptops and new computers so you may have some old Works installation CD. In MS Works you can re-save your documents in it to DOC or RTF.

The tables with software actions are a good pointer for what a certain program does with various file types and often may give users a good hint how to perform certain file conversion, for example the above-mentioned wps to rtf. However, it is not perfect and sometimes can show results which are not really usable because of how certain programs work with files and the possible conversion is thus actually not possible at all.
