Programs used to perform the conversion from xla file to xl format.
Excel add-ins usually cannot converted to spreadsheets, due to the fact that both file types contain different data. XLA files are used to enhance the program and add new functionality to the program and do not contain any spreadsheet data them self.
But you should be able to import the .xla file to Excel and use it's features to improve your .xls file, but that's not xla to xls conversion.
