Check out some options how xlt files might be converted to nmbtemplate format.
iWorks Numbers does not natively support the templates from Microsoft Excel (.xlt). However you could save XLT template as XLS spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel and then import that to Numbers where you can make NMBTEMPLATE templates, essentially achieving xlt to nmbtemplate conversion.
Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.
