Software that can be used for conversion of xml file type to vcard format.
You can find tools that are able to convert contacts from XML and parse them to CSV format, so basically perform a xml to csv conversion. Once you have a .csv file with your contacts, you can use some of the csv to vcf converters to get your vCard file, which will essentially achieve xml to vcard conversion for you. This will of course only work with valid contact sources.
Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.

XML
An xml file extension is commonly used for files written in Extensible Markup Language. An xml file is used in various areas of computer industry and many program languages are just derivatives of XML. These xml files can be opened and edited in any text editor or IDE.
VCARD
Files with vcard file extension are contacts files saved in vCard format. Alternative to much more common vcf file extension.
