Possible software with support for converting of yts files to mkv file format.
It is likely that your .yts file is already a video file (usually MP4 not MKV though) and you just have known file extensions hidden in your system. You do not have to convert yts to mkv, just make your extension visible.

YTS
Files with yts file extension are usually movies downloaded from P2P networks (torrents). YTS YIFY is not actually extension, but part of the file name to label the group.
MKV
Files with mkv extension are videos in the open source Matroska Multimedia Container format. You can open it and play it with pretty much every multimedia player.
