Generally udt file extension (.DAT is another one) is an unofficial file extension used by many software developers to store data for their programs. UDT can mean "User Defined Type".
The udt file extension is also related to VisiLogic Utilites from Unitronics.
An udt file is created by the SD Tools. These are located within the DT folder. Probably used in some PLC machines.
It is also used by wyUpdate tool, which is used to check updates for wyBuild.
