The cxf file extension is used by Google Picasa, a program for organization, editing and sharing of photos and pictures.
The cxf file is used to describe collage created from photos or images stored on a computer or in Picasa albums. File is written in simple text file format with XML tags.
File contains collage style (picture pile, mosaic, frame mosaic...), settings (grid spacing, picture borders, background options...) and list of photos and images stored in collage. However Google Picasa also creates JPEG file that contains collage final appearance.
The cfx file is related to this JPEG file, without it Picasa can not view the collage.
To create collage in Picasa select pictures or photos and click the collage button in the Photo Tray or click the Create Photo Collage button in the folder or album header.
This cxf file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.
