PLT Scheme is an innovative programming language that builds on a rich academic and practical tradition. It is suitable for implementation tasks ranging from scripting to application development, including GUIs, web services, etc. It includes the DrScheme programming environment, a virtual machine with a just-in-time compiler, tools for creating stand-alone executables, the PLT Scheme web server, extensive libraries, documentation for both beginners and experts, and more. It supports the creation of new programming languages through a rich, expressive syntax system. Example languages include Typed Scheme, ACL2, FrTime, Lazy Scheme, and ProfessorJ (which is a pedagogical dialect of Java). The language is now known as Racket.
The DrScheme software seems to be old or discontinued.

Note: You can click on any file extension link from the list below, to view its detailed information. The list of extensions used or otherwise associated with the application may not be complete, because many common file extensions on our website, such as jpg (pictures) or txt (text files), can be opened by a large number of applications, or are too general file format. However most, if not all directly associated file extensions should be listed with its appropriate program. Although its likely, that some file extensions may be missing from the list of associated file extensions with the application, yet they can be opened, be part of, or otherwise be associated with the program.
