File extension enc is also since December 2016 used by one of the many ransomware, this one labeled as Cryptorium.
Luckily for users, Cryptorium only renames files and does not encrypt them.
Considering these files are not encrypted, you only need to manually restore the file names and suffixes.

File extension enc seems to be also related to one of the ransomware called TorrentLocker. This particular variant of the ransomware is spread through e-mail campaigns and pretends to be from the Italian energy company Enel. It seems to mainly target Italian users.
Note: Probably unrelated, but also malicious trojan, laballed as Trojan.Encoder.6491 uses this suffix. Not sure if it also spreads this particular ransomware.
As of 11/2016 a ransomware called encryptoJJS also uses this suffix, but it seems to be rare.
As far as we know, no decryptor for TorrentLocker exits.
You will have to first decrypt the files, before you can conver them to anything else.

Uuencoding was also popular for sending binary files by e-mail. Uunecoding was replaced by base64 encoding.
Uuencoding encoding format was originally used by encryption software for Unix operating system named uuencode (Unix-to-Unix encoding). Uuencoding format is a form of binary-to-text encoding. To decode the uuncoded file back to original binary format is used program named uudecode.
Use Stuffit Deluxe, ZipZag, IzArc to decode uuencode encoded files (enc format).
