VersaCAD for Microsoft Windows is a production-level CAD software package used by engineers, draftspersons, and other technical professionals. It supports work in architectural, civil engineering, construction, and mechanical design.
A .2d file stores a two-dimensional drawing created in VersaCAD. The file is intended to be opened and edited as part of a VersaCAD project rather than used as a general-purpose image file.
Open a .2d file with VersaCAD for Windows. Use the program's Open command and select the file.
Because this is a VersaCAD-specific drawing format, other CAD programs may not be able to read it correctly.
Open the file in VersaCAD and use its export or Save As options to create a different CAD format, if the installed version provides them.

Record marked as obsolete and not updated for a long time.
File extension 2D has been also used in old 3D modeling program called Amapi 3D. It looks like .2d files were some sort of drawings, unfortunately we couldn't rely verify this.
It seems that XnView still supports this format and can view it.
Perhaps it is possible to convert this type of 2D files to other graphics format with XnView.
