The adiumsoundset file extension is associated with Adium, an instant messaging client developed for Mac OS X and macOS. The file belongs to Adium's settings and appearance customisation features.
An adiumsoundset file contains a collection of notification sounds and the information Adium needs to use them as a sound set. It is intended to be used as a complete set rather than as a general-purpose audio file.
Adium sound sets are designed for Adium on Apple macOS. The format is specific to that application and is not commonly used outside it.
Use Adium to add or select an adiumsoundset file as an Adium sound set. It is not normally opened in a media player as an individual audio file.
Adium runs on Apple macOS. If the file does not appear as an available sound set, it may need to be installed through Adium's sound-set preferences.
An adiumsoundset file has no useful general-purpose conversion format. It is an Adium sound-set package, so it should be used in Adium rather than converted.
