Adobe Lightroom module file
File type: Plugin, addon file
The .agmodule file extension identifies a module file used by Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.
The file contains a Lightroom module that provides additional functionality to the application.
File type category:
Plugin, addon file
Date updated: October 2, 2026
The .agmodule file is associated with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Adobe's digital photo management and editing software for Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS or Mac OS X.
It stores a Lightroom module that adds extra features to the application. This makes it an application component or add-on rather than a photo, project, or other user document.
Open the file with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom on Microsoft Windows or with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for Mac on Apple macOS or Mac OS X. Lightroom normally loads compatible module files itself; an .agmodule file is not intended to be opened as a standalone document.
An .agmodule file cannot normally be converted meaningfully to another file format. It is a Lightroom software module, not a photo or an editable document.
If the goal is to obtain photos or other usable output, open the relevant images in Lightroom and use its export features. The exported files are separate from the original module file.
