An agtoolkit file stores internal data used to render or display elements of Lightroom's user interface. It is a program-support file rather than a photo, catalog, or user-created project.
The format is intended for use by the desktop Lightroom application and is not a general-purpose data-exchange format. It should normally remain in the location where Lightroom installed or created it.
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for Microsoft Windows or Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for Apple macOS should be used with this file. An agtoolkit file is an internal support file, so it normally has no user-facing viewer and should not be opened independently.
If Lightroom requests the file, leave it in its original application folder and open Lightroom normally. Renaming, editing, or moving it may prevent the program from displaying parts of its interface correctly.
An agtoolkit file cannot normally be converted meaningfully. It contains internal Lightroom interface data, not an image or another document intended for export.
Use Lightroom's own export features to convert or save photographs and other user content; those operations do not convert the agtoolkit file itself.
