Autodesk Land Desktop was Autodesk's Windows application for civil engineering, surveying and transportation design. The CGX format stores the label style data used by the program.
Label styles define the appearance and formatting of project labels. A CGX file therefore belongs with the related Land Desktop project and its other design data; it is not normally useful as an independent document.
Land Desktop is a legacy product. Autodesk Civil 3D is its successor and provides migration workflows for supported Land Desktop project data, although compatibility with individual legacy settings files depends on the Civil 3D version and project.
