The compositiontemplate file extension is associated with Invantive Composition, a document-composition add-in for Microsoft Word from Invantive.
A .compositiontemplate file stores a data model created in Invantive Composition. The model provides template information used when the software composes documents.
Invantive Composition runs on Microsoft Windows. The file is intended to be used within that software rather than as a general-purpose document format.
Open the compositiontemplate file with Invantive Composition on Microsoft Windows. Use the file from within the add-in or the associated Invantive Composition workflow; Microsoft Word alone may not be able to interpret it.
A direct conversion to another file format is not generally applicable because this file stores an Invantive Composition template and data model. Use the template in Invantive Composition to create a finished document, then save or export that document in a format supported by the software.
