Created by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) as a standard for distributing and viewing medical images, such as MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasound images.
How to open dicom file?
Usually these files are viewed using special programs for devices used in medicine. Some graphics viewer may still support it and open it just fine.
How to convert dicom file?
It should be possible to export DICOM pictures as normal images, but that will remove any special metadata.
