FSL is a neuroimaging software suite developed by the Oxford Centre for Functional MRI of the Brain (FMRIB). It includes FEAT, which is used to configure and run fMRI analysis.
An fsf file is a plain-text FEAT setup script. It stores analysis settings such as input data, preprocessing options, statistical-model parameters and output locations.
FEAT can create these files through its graphical setup interface and use them as input when running an analysis. FSL is available for Microsoft Windows, macOS (OS X) and Linux.
Open the fsf file with FSL FEAT to view or use its analysis settings. FEAT can load the file and use it to configure an analysis.
Because the file is plain text, a text editor can also display or edit it, but changing settings manually may affect the analysis.
The fsf file is a configuration script rather than a document intended for conversion, so it normally has no useful conversion format.
To create a setup file with different settings, use the FEAT setup interface and save the resulting configuration as an fsf file. FEAT uses the file to produce analysis outputs rather than converting it to another file type.
