GLBasic, developed by DreamBuster, uses GBAP files as project definitions for its development environment. GLBasic is an easy-to-learn, fast-to-write, flexible programming language for creating software, including games.
A GBAP file stores the information GLBasic needs to organize and reopen a project, including its project settings and associated source code files. It works together with the other files in the project and is normally maintained by GLBasic.
Open a GBAP file with GLBasic on Microsoft Windows. Start GLBasic and use its project-opening command to select the file; opening it directly may also work if Windows has associated the extension with GLBasic.
Opening the file in a text editor will not provide the GLBasic project environment and may damage the project if the file is edited and saved.
A GBAP file is a GLBasic project definition, so it is normally opened and maintained in GLBasic rather than converted to another format.
To create a usable program in another form, open the project in GLBasic and use its build or export features where available. This produces program output from the project; it does not convert the GBAP file itself.
