GarageBand is Apple's music creation software for macOS. A GBPROJ file represents a project rather than a finished audio recording, and can contain the arrangement, tracks, settings, and other information used to edit and play the project.
Open the file in GarageBand or Logic Pro on a Mac to work with the project. These applications can use the project data to reproduce the song and provide access to its editable tracks and settings.
Open a GBPROJ file with Apple GarageBand on macOS. You can also try Apple Logic Pro, which supports opening GarageBand projects.
A GBPROJ file is an editable project, not a finished audio file, so it is not normally converted with a general file converter. Open it in GarageBand or Logic Pro and export or bounce the project to an audio format such as WAV, AIFF, MP3, or AAC.
Exporting produces a playable audio file and does not preserve the project's separate editable tracks and settings.
