The GED file extension was used by Micrografx applications for files containing simple 3D geometry used in graphics and icons. Micrografx was later acquired by Corel.
These files belong to older Microsoft Windows graphics software, including Micrografx Windows Draw, Micrografx Media Manager, Micrografx Designer and Micrografx Picture Publisher. The format is now legacy and is unlikely to be used by current graphics applications.
Open the file with the Micrografx application that created it, such as Micrografx Windows Draw, Micrografx Media Manager, Micrografx Designer or Micrografx Picture Publisher. These are legacy Microsoft Windows programs, so they may require an older or suitably configured Windows environment.
If the file does not open, it may depend on the original application's version or supporting files.
There is no broadly supported modern converter for this legacy Micrografx format. If one of the original Micrografx applications can open the file, use that application's export or save options to create a graphics format it supports.
Exporting may preserve the rendered artwork rather than the original 3D geometry. If none of the original applications can read the file, reliable conversion may not be possible.
