CA Software Change Manager, historically associated with Computer Associates and CA Technologies, uses Harvest databases to store information managed by the change-management system. An HDX file is part of that database environment.
The file should be kept with the other files and configuration used by the relevant Harvest installation. It is a data file for the CA Software Change Manager product, which is available for multiple operating-system platforms, rather than a general-purpose database exchange format.
Open an HDX file through the CA Software Change Manager or Harvest environment that created it. The application normally accesses the file as part of a configured database, so opening it directly from a file manager may not work.
