Bitmap Image Exchange is an old raster graphics format for storing bitmap image data. IEF files use the .ief file extension and are associated with the image/ief MIME type.
The format appears to be largely obsolete, and information about software that supports it is limited.
Unfortunately, we have no information about any program that can still open IEF files. If the file came from an older graphics system, the original software or a compatible legacy environment may be required.
No reliable converter for the Bitmap Image Exchange format is currently known. If the file can be opened with compatible legacy software, that software may be able to export the image to a more widely supported bitmap format.
