Adobe InDesign is Adobe's desktop publishing and page-layout software. An INDN file contains an InDesign document created by an earlier Mac version of the application, including the document's layout and associated publication data.
The INDN file extension was used by some earlier versions of Adobe InDesign for Mac and is not the usual extension for current InDesign documents. As a result, newer versions of InDesign may not open every INDN file directly.
Open an INDN file with Adobe InDesign on Apple macOS or Mac OS X. Use the version of InDesign that created the file, or an older compatible version, if a current version does not recognize it.
If Adobe InDesign can open the INDN file, use its Save As function to save the document in a current InDesign document format. InDesign can also export an opened document to PDF when a fixed-layout copy is sufficient.
