File extension irec is often searched in the context of various 'iRec' apps that were or still are available for mobile devices.
Often these are used to make a screen recording of the users devices, for example when they play a game or to record video call.
Most these apps actually use standard video recording formats, such as MP4, to store these files, but it might be possible that some tools used .irec files.
To make things a bit more confusing, irec file type is often wrongly searched instead of lrec file type.
We are actually not aware of any modern app that would use .irec files.
Videos can be usually converted between different formats, provided you find a tool that can be used for this.
