iStopMotion is stop-motion animation software from Boinx Software for Apple macOS and Mac OS X. It is also associated with photo and video editing on Apple iOS. An .ismclip file stores animation data created in iStopMotion.
The file belongs to iStopMotion's project workflow rather than being a general-purpose video file. It is intended to be used by iStopMotion as part of the animation project.
Open an .ismclip file with iStopMotion on Apple macOS or Mac OS X. Open the file from within iStopMotion, or use the application to open the project containing it.
An .ismclip file is not normally converted directly with a general-purpose file converter. Open it in iStopMotion and use the application's export function to create a standard movie file when available.
Keep the original file if the animation needs to remain editable in iStopMotion.
