The IVA file extension was used for video recordings captured by certain CCTV and video surveillance systems. An IVA file typically contains recorded surveillance footage in a format intended for playback by the system that created it.
Legacy programs associated with this format include HiSystem DVR System and INTOTECH SmartDVR Formula. The format is obsolete and is unlikely to be used by current surveillance systems.
Open an .iva file with the legacy surveillance software that created it, if available. HiSystem DVR System and INTOTECH SmartDVR Formula are reported to support playback of IVA video.
Because these are old, system-specific recordings, a modern general-purpose media player may not open them.
There may be no general-purpose converter for the obsolete IVA format. If the file opens in HiSystem DVR System or INTOTECH SmartDVR Formula, use the program's export function if available.
Legacy surveillance software may be able to export the recording to a more common video format such as AVI.
