.m2s files are skin packages associated with Maxthon, the web browser developed by Maxthon International. They were used by Maxthon 2 to install alternative browser appearances.
A package can contain the skin's configuration settings and graphical resources. Maxthon reads these files as part of its theme or skin installation process rather than as documents for general-purpose applications.
The format is associated primarily with the older Windows release of Maxthon 2. Maxthon Cloud Browser is available on multiple platforms, but newer releases may not support every skin package made for the Maxthon 2 skin system.
Open the file with a compatible Maxthon installation, preferably Maxthon 2 on Windows. Double-clicking the file may start the skin installation if Maxthon has registered the file type; otherwise, use Maxthon's skin or theme management feature to install it.
If a current Maxthon release does not recognise the file, it may support only newer theme formats and cannot install this older package.
