MusicMaker V8 supports four- or eight-voice playback and uses macro-based music data. Its player provides two mixing methods: a faster method and a slower method for the 68000 processor. Both methods can play eight tracks with independently varied volume levels.
The player leaves all timer and vertical-blank interrupts free and unused. Samples may be compressed with the Fibonacci algorithm without a major loss of quality.
The MusicMaker V8 software package includes editors, source code for a four-voice player, a Readme, a demo, Eagleplayers, instruments, ARexx scripts, an SDK, and SMUS2MM, ST2MM and OKT2MM converters.
On Microsoft Windows, open the file in an Amiga environment provided by Amiga Forever, with MusicMaker V8 installed or available in that environment. The file is not normally opened by a standard Windows audio player.
Within the emulated Amiga system, start MusicMaker V8 and use its file commands to load the .mm4 file.
