MacWrite Pro was a word processor in the MacWrite family. An MWPP file stores a document created in the program, including its text and document formatting.
MacWrite originated as a word processor for the first Apple Macintosh systems. The MWPP format is a legacy Macintosh document format and is not commonly used by current word-processing software or modern macOS.
Open an .mwpp file with MacWrite Pro in a compatible classic Macintosh environment. Current versions of macOS generally do not include native support for this legacy format.
If the original software is unavailable, a Macintosh emulation environment may be required. Modern applications may not open MWPP files directly.
Conversion normally requires opening the document in MacWrite Pro and saving or exporting it to a format supported by a current word processor, such as rich text or plain text, if that option is available.
Documents that cannot be opened in the original software may require recovery in a compatible legacy Macintosh environment.
