The .noproblemwedecfiles file extension was used by some later variants of Samas/SamSam ransomware, which first appeared in January 2017. The ransomware encrypts files on affected Windows systems and changes their suffix.
The ransomware also places a ransom note named 000-No-PROBLEM-WE-DEC-FILES.html in affected folders. The encrypted files cannot be used in their original applications until a suitable decryptor restores their contents.
No ordinary application can open a .noproblemwedecfiles file as a usable document. The file must first be decrypted with a decryptor that supports the Samas/SamSam variant that encrypted it.
After successful decryption, open the restored file with the application associated with its original file type.
A .noproblemwedecfiles file cannot be meaningfully converted while it remains encrypted. Decrypt the file first, then convert the restored file using an application that supports its original format.
