OpenTTD is an open-source reimplementation of the Transport Tycoon business simulation game. It runs on Microsoft Windows and other desktop platforms.
An obs file identifies and describes an OpenTTD base sound set. It is normally distributed with the sound set's associated audio files and is read by OpenTTD when the set is installed or selected.
Open an obs file with OpenTTD. Install the file as part of its complete base sound set, or use OpenTTD's in-game content system when the sound set is available there.
The file is not intended to be opened as a standalone document. On Microsoft Windows, OpenTTD reads it from its data location when loading the associated sound set.
An obs file is not normally converted to another format. It is a sound-set definition used by OpenTTD and must remain with the sound files it describes.
To use different sounds, install another compatible OpenTTD base sound set rather than converting the obs file.
