The .opo file extension identifies compiled OPL object files. OPL programs were developed for Psion handheld computers and compiled into files that the device's OPL environment could execute.
Psion designed and manufactured mobile handheld computers for commercial and industrial applications. OPL was used on compatible Psion devices, rather than on modern general-purpose desktop operating systems.
The format is obsolete and is no longer in common use. An .opo file is a compiled program object, not normally a source-code or document file.
To open an .opo file, copy it to a compatible Psion handheld computer and launch it through the device's file manager or OPL program environment. A modern Windows, macOS or Linux system normally cannot run the file directly.
If the original OPL source code is available, it may be possible to recompile it with a compatible OPL development environment and create a new .opo file.
A compiled .opo file by itself generally cannot be converted reliably into source code or a modern executable format.
