The .potmenx file extension is used for standard POTM files - Microsoft PowerPoint macro-enabled template files - encrypted with Egis. Egis was bundled with many Acer notebooks.
The file belongs to the Egis security software for Microsoft Windows. Egis must decrypt the file before its PowerPoint template content can be used. It is an encrypted variant of a standard PowerPoint file rather than a standard PowerPoint file that can be opened directly.
Open the file with Egis on Microsoft Windows and provide the required password. After Egis decrypts the file, open the resulting POTM file with Microsoft PowerPoint.
PowerPoint cannot normally open a .potmenx file directly. If Egis is not installed or the password is unavailable, the file cannot usually be opened.
A .potmenx file cannot normally be converted while it remains encrypted. First decrypt it with Egis and the required password.
After decryption, open the resulting POTM file in Microsoft PowerPoint and save or export it to the required PowerPoint format.
