A psz file is a compressed PostScript data file used in some Texas Instruments devices. It normally contains one PostScript document, with ZIP compression applied to reduce the document's size.
WinZip for Microsoft Windows can open the compressed data and extract the underlying PostScript file. Other compatible tools may also view the contents.
The compression ratio is approximately 4:1, although the actual size reduction depends on the contents of the PostScript document.
Use WinZip on Microsoft Windows to open a psz file. WinZip can inspect the ZIP-compressed contents and extract the PostScript document.
Open the extracted file with a PostScript-capable application or send it to a PostScript-capable printer. If an application does not recognise the psz extension, extract the contents first rather than trying to open the compressed file as a normal PostScript document.
A psz file does not normally need conversion to preserve its contents. Extract the PostScript document with WinZip, then use software that supports PostScript if the document must be exported to another format.
The available output formats depend on the application used to process the extracted PostScript file. Recompressing the document creates another compressed archive rather than converting the document itself.
