OHRRPGCE is a free, open-source utility for creating role-playing games in a style similar to classic Final Fantasy games for the NES, SNES and GBA, which influenced the RPG genre. An RPG file stores the game created with the engine, including its maps, graphics, dialogue and other game data.
The file is used with the OHRRPGCE game engine and its Custom editor. The engine is available for Windows, Linux and macOS, allowing an RPG file to be played or modified on supported platforms.
RPG is OHRRPGCE's native game format. It remains associated with the OHRRPGCE toolset rather than being a general-purpose interchange format.
Open the RPG file with OHRRPGCE. Use the included Custom editor to inspect or modify the game, or use the OHRRPGCE game engine to play it.
Install an OHRRPGCE release for Windows, Linux or macOS, then open the file from the appropriate editor or game program.
There is no standard conversion from an OHRRPGCE RPG file to another game format. Use OHRRPGCE to edit the game and create a playable version for its supported platforms; exporting individual game assets, where supported, does not convert the complete RPG file.
