Yahoo! Instant Messenger was an instant messaging client from Yahoo! that used the Yahoo! messaging protocol. Its .rtl file contains ringtone or other sound settings used by the application.
The file is a configuration file rather than an audio recording. Yahoo! Instant Messenger is no longer supported, so the format is generally of interest only when preserving or examining an old Windows installation.
