The .s8bn file extension is associated with Microsoft Word 98 for Mac, a word-processing application from Microsoft. An S8BN file is a legacy document template rather than a normal document.
The template can provide a starting structure for new documents, such as preset page layout and text formatting. It belongs to the older file formats used by Word 98 for Mac.
This is an older format and may require a compatible version of Microsoft Word for Mac to open.
Open the .s8bn file with Microsoft Word for Mac, preferably Word 98 for Mac or another version that supports this legacy template format. Compatibility with this older format may vary between Word versions.
If Word does not recognize the file automatically, use its Open command and select the file manually rather than double-clicking it.
If a compatible version of Microsoft Word for Mac can open the template, save it in a newer Word template format or export a document created from it to a current document format.
If the file cannot be opened by a compatible Word installation, conversion may not be practical without first finding an environment that supports Word 98 for Mac.
