Scratch app actually does not use any 'scratch' files, but users several file types for it's projects starting with .sb in the original version of the tool, followed up by .sb2 and .sb3 in latest incarnation of the software.
Scratch users can create projects on the website using a block-like interface and export their projects as standalone HTML5, or Android, Mac or Windows apps.
Scratch projects are meant only to be opened using Scratch tools.
Export of projects to HTML, EXE, APP or APK is provided either directly or through 3rd party apps or addons.
