The .sp45 file extension is associated with SuperCard Player, the runtime software for projects created with SuperCard. The file contains a packaged project intended for playback rather than editing.
SuperCard was developed by Solutions Etcetera for Apple Macintosh computers and Mac OS X, later known as macOS. SuperCard Player can run the distributed project on a compatible Mac without the full authoring program.
This is a legacy SuperCard format, so it may not be supported by current macOS versions or modern software.
Open the .sp45 file with the compatible version of SuperCard Player on an Apple Mac. If the file does not open, the required legacy runtime may not be compatible with the installed version of macOS.
SuperCard Player is intended to play the project, not to edit its source. Editing generally requires the original project and the SuperCard authoring software.
The .sp45 format is a packaged playback format and does not have a useful general-purpose conversion path.
To create a different output, obtain the original editable SuperCard project and use a compatible version of SuperCard to save or export it. A standalone .sp45 file cannot normally be converted back into a fully editable project.
