Snagit Studio design files store editable designs created in Snagit Studio. A file can contain the design elements used to compose a screen capture or other graphic, allowing the work to be reopened and edited in the software.
The SSD format is associated with older Windows versions of Snagit and may not be supported by current Snagit releases.
Open an SSD file in Snagit Studio or in a compatible Windows version of Snagit. Use the program's Open command if double-clicking the file does not associate it with the software.
Current versions of Snagit may not open this legacy format. If the file fails to open, use the older Snagit installation that created it.
SSD files are editable project files rather than a general-purpose exchange format. Open the file in a compatible Windows version of Snagit and use its export or save-as features to create an image or another output format supported by that version.
If no compatible Snagit installation is available, there may be no practical way to convert the design while preserving its editable elements.
