ThumbsPlus is a digital picture and photo management application for Microsoft Windows, developed by Cerious Software. The .tp_meta file extension identifies metadata associated with pictures managed by the application.
A .tp_meta file stores metadata used by ThumbsPlus rather than the picture itself. It is an application-specific data file associated with ThumbsPlus-managed pictures.
Use ThumbsPlus on Microsoft Windows to access the metadata in a .tp_meta file. It is an application data file, so it may not display useful content when opened directly in a text editor or another image program.
A .tp_meta file stores ThumbsPlus metadata rather than image data, so it is not normally converted as an image. Keep it with the related ThumbsPlus data when transferring a picture collection.
