The txn file extension is associated with MySpace IM. A txn file contains a log generated by the program, such as a record of instant messaging activity.
MySpace IM stored these files in the Windows application-data folder, historically including C:\Documents and Settings\owner\Application Data\myspace\im\. The format is marked as obsolete.
Open a txn file with MySpace IM on Microsoft Windows if the original application is still available. Because MySpace IM is obsolete, it may not be possible to open the file with its associated software on a current system.
There is no confirmed alternative application for this log format.
There is no known general-purpose converter for the MySpace IM txn format. If MySpace IM can open the file, any available display or export function in that program is the most reliable way to preserve its contents in another format.
