The WDGP file extension is associated with some earlier version of Microsoft Word for Mac, Microsoft's word-processing software for Apple computers.
A WDGP file provides add-in functionality for Word. It belongs to the software's extension system and is intended to be used by Word rather than edited as a document.
This is a legacy format. Current versions of Microsoft Word for macOS may not support WDGP files or the older add-ins that use them.
Open or install a WDGP file only with the compatible earlier version of Microsoft Word for Mac. It is not normally opened directly as a document.
Modern Microsoft Word for macOS may not recognize this format. If the file is needed, use the original compatible Word environment rather than renaming the file or opening it with another document editor.
A WDGP add-in is not a document format, so it cannot usually be converted meaningfully to DOCX or another document format.
To retain its functionality, use it with a compatible earlier version of Microsoft Word for Mac. Otherwise, the add-in's features must be replaced or recreated using an add-in technology supported by the current version of Word.
