XMS-Tracker is a tracker program developed by MaDoKaN/E.S.G. An XMS file contains the data needed to play a tracker song, such as musical patterns and instrument information.
The format is associated with tracker music and is supported by AdPlug, an audio emulation plugin for Winamp.
On Microsoft Windows, open an XMS file with Winamp configured with the AdPlug plugin. The plugin provides playback support for XMS-Tracker music.
An XMS file can be played in Winamp with AdPlug and recorded as audio by using suitable audio-recording software, but this produces a recording rather than a converted tracker module.
