The XTND format is associated with Adobe Acrobat for Mac, Adobe's PDF software for Apple Macintosh and Mac OS X. An XTND file is an Acrobat plug-in component.
XTND files are legacy plug-in components rather than documents intended for direct viewing. They belong with older Mac versions of Adobe Acrobat and are not generally used by current Acrobat releases.
Open an XTND file by installing it with the compatible Mac version of Adobe Acrobat for which it was supplied. It is a plug-in component, so it normally works from within Acrobat rather than as a standalone document.
Current versions of macOS and Adobe Acrobat may not support this legacy format.
An XTND plug-in file cannot be meaningfully converted to a document format. If its functionality is needed, use the original compatible Adobe Acrobat for Mac installation or obtain a newer plug-in that supports the required Acrobat version.
